KEC INSTALLERS LIST, The Story.

There are probably 15 ways to tell this story for you... so let's just start at the beginning 


1. So Why did you create KEC INSTALLERS?  I spent hundreds of hours over the last five years working with national brands and later, coaching a team of 43 salespeople. 

Every week it was 'Who do you know in XXXX that can do YYYY?" Not only from my own team but also from other regional offices, manufacturers, and end-users. The KEC INSTALLERS tool was designed to help everyone in the Foodservice Community find a kitchen installer or other Service Provider, quickly.


2. Who is a Service Provider? Any company that installs food service equipment, builds walk-ins, hangs hoods, does refrigeration, is a beer/beverage installer,  offers commercial cleaning

(hoods, or construction clean up),  fire suppression contractors, millwork contractors, fabricators, welders, stonework contractors, or any other entity that helps a food service facility or restaurant open or renovate. 


3. Word of mouth is the Best Marketing - why do you think this is better for us?  Not better, different. Direct. Because word of mouth is great, but it relies on people doing what you ask - making recommendations to their teammates or manufacturers on your behalf.  


And, for sure, they are not giving your info to an end-user (their customer). 


There are manufacturers and national accounts that need roll-outs coordinated, and equipment they buy online installed - just how will they find you on Instagram or Tik Tok? They won't. 


You need direct marketing AND the power of everyone being in one place. You'll help one another just by being a part of the list.  One-stop shopping, like Amazon but no junk.


4. Why are you charging us? There is a cost to creating and keeping a platform like this. We are not taking anything on the backside, were are not ANGI.com. It's all upfront and one low annual charge. The customers will be charged as well, but we are not selling their services, we are marketing yours. Your side of the platform is far larger.  Watch the video to see what it looks like now.....and our list of plans for phase 2 is gigantic and we'd love you to tell us what to improve.


5. Why do we need to be on this list - we belong to CFESA? That's an awesome question - they set standards for excellence for service agents. Not all service agents install, especially not the bigger projects.  We market your services. These are two separate functions. 


To find you on CFESA's website, they'd need to know about CFESA. If you google "foodservice equipment installers" or other search words for Foodservice Service Providers "custom fabricators" or "commercial refrigeration" you will not find CFESA in the results. We are in the process of optimizing for every term that fits your description. 


PLUS  marketing directly to the customer base. 


6. Why should we trust you? Because I have been your customer AND we can speak to your pain, running a small business. 


The parent company, known as The Fractional VP, is where we help small and medium-sized food service dealers, distributors, manufacturers, owners, and reps get their sales act together. 


They are your potential customers - right?  Cross-marketing is the reason. 


Another is that this was designed at the request of a few dealers in the smaller markets. Not everyone is #1, #2 or #3. I know this is helpful for a lot of industry professionals - and it's one of the goals of KEC Advisors, to provide Resources for the Foodservice Community.


7. WHAT does it do for us? Connects you to a whole new world. Allows you to receive scheduling requests online, and helps you be ''found". If a new restaurant was opening in your backyard wouldn't you want to be first in line instead of that guy coming in from Miami to do it? (Assuming you don't live in Miami)...
